Send Flowers to Tromsø, Norway

Tromsø lies well above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, spread across the island of Tromsøya and the mainland shore, with the Arctic Cathedral as its best-known landmark. The city is famous for the northern lights, the midnight sun and a university that draws people from everywhere. Relatives abroad send flowers to Tromsø for birthdays, graduations, new babies at the University Hospital of North Norway, or to comfort a family after a loss.

Mother's Day in Norway falls on the second Sunday of February, when Tromsø is just getting its daylight back, so a colourful bouquet is doubly welcome. For funerals, a wreath or bouquet delivered to the church is the usual custom.

Order before midnight Norwegian time for delivery the following day. The recipient's mobile number is required: the florist calls ahead and arranges a new time if nobody is in. Roses, lilies and mixed bouquets are generally stocked, and plants travel well in the cold. If a flower is unavailable this far north, the florist proposes an equivalent arrangement.
